ROSEMARIE
GORMAN

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am a painter and recipient of many local and national awards. I graduated Boston University on full scholorship ans was later appointed Art Supervisor of five schools in Massachusetts. I married a US Naval Officer, consequently moving across the country. California provided the light, color and terrain my inner-artist had been seeking.

My studies continued with many acclaimed contemporary artists, including Millard Sheets, Christopher schink, Frank Webb and Ed Betts among the most influential.

I am enthusastic and excited by the energy experienced upon discovery of rock-fall, wild rivers, precipitous canyons, natural wonders and herds of wild horses existing among ancient dwellings in the Southwest. More captivating influences abound in the Tahoe Backcountry. World travel and my multi-media art explorations have allowed me to pursue the challenge of the purity and translucency of watercolor painting.

My joy is the ability to share the excitement of my world with you, the viewer.
